The communion offering for March will support the Back2Back Foundation. Back to Back Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established by Brice Long and his wife to meet the needs of families in Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties primarily during the holiday season.

March is Petrie’s designated month to donate to the Interfaith Center. Currently, they need a variety of cereals and canned foods (vegetables – no corn or green beans, spaghetti, and chili.) There is a box in the Fellowship Hall labeled “Interfaith Center” that you can drop your donations in, or you may take them directly to the Interfaith Center.
The Methodist Mountain Mission truck will be here on March 12. Please have all

Scholarship funds for the spring semester will be issued in January.

Three Automated External Defibrillator AEDs have been purchased and installed (one near the elevator/Fellowship Hall, one near the sanctuary, and one at POPs.) Training will be offered in the coming weeks. If anyone is interested in learning how to use the AEDs, please notify the church office. Trainings will be scheduled once we determine how many are interested.

Some of the children at Petrie Memorial had the opportunity to do a service project for their Sunday Funday activity. They made small bouquets of flowers and handmade cards. They visited Hearthstone and some church members’ homes. It was a great experience!
Church Wide Wednesday Night Kickoff
A Church wide Wednesday Night Kickoff will be held on Wednesday, August 16th.
Team Kid Volunteers
We are still in need of several volunteers for our Wednesday night program. We cannot run this program successfully without help from the congregation.
Time commitment: Team Kid starts on Wednesday, August 23rd and ends in May. We do not have church on spring break, fall break, Christmas break or snow days. Dinner is from 5:00-5:30, which you are welcome to join and eat with students!
