Bob Ross Bible Study

 Do you feel a call to serve God and your church? Want to learn how you can help your pastor serve the community? Lay Academy of Church Excellence (LACE) provides programs to educate, energize, and empower lay persons in the UMC to become faithful disciples and effective leaders.

 If you have ever had a desire to learn more about Methodism, become a lay speaker or acquire skills that will help you become an effective church leader, The Pennyrile District LACE is offering the following classes:

             September 11, 2021 –      1) Ministry of Baptized           2) Leading and Caring

             September 25, 2021 –      1) Communicating      2) Into the World

              October 16, 2021 –           1) Leadership

The free classes will be held at St. John UMC, 2808 S Virginia St in Hopkinsville. A study book will be provided. Registration forms are available from the church office and online.  For more information, contact the church office or Mike Kenner.

Outdoor Vacation Bible School

Join us in God’s Zone June 12th at Petrie Memorial, July 3 at Royal arms, and July 17 on streets Avenue! There will be Bible lessons, snacks, games, and lots of fun! The time will be 3 PM to 5 PM. For more information call Petrie Memorial Methodist church at (270-265-2298).

Gift to the United Methodist Children’s Home

Petrie UMW is proud to share that Ms. Grace Evelyn Miller showed her love for children by a bequest to the United Methodist Children’s Homes.  She was recognized in the April/May “The Children’s Voice” magazine.  Her bequest is so generous that it will be the largest bequest they have ever received.
