Team Kid Kickoff

Team Kid is designed for Kids in discipleship! It features Bible memory games and application of Bible truths, engaging missions video and activities, and fun activity based learning all while helping your kids grow to be more like Jesus.

Petrie’s Radio Broadcast
Tune in to WEKT 1070 am on Mondays at 4:00 p.m. for a broadcast of Petrie’s Sunday service.
Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery meets on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. (in-person and on Facebook Live). This is a Christ-centered recovery program for anyone struggling with hurts, habits, or hang-ups. Please contact Mike Kenner (270-604-0413) for more information.
Choir Practice

United Women in Faith Meeting
The UWF will meet on Thursday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All women of the church are invited to attend.
United Methodist Men’s Breakfast
The UMM will meet for breakfast on Sunday, August 21 at 7:00 a.m. All men of the church are invited to attend.
New Testament Course
If anyone is interested in a New Testament course taught by Pastor Willard, please notify the church office. This will be a 15-week class from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights at POPs beginning August 24 – December 7 (taking off October 5 and November 23).
Children’s Church Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed for Children’s Church from September – December and from January – June. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please let Camille Dillingham and Elizabeth Power know.
Children’s Church Volunteer Meeting
There will be a Children’s Church Volunteer meeting on Sunday, August 28 at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Children’s Church will begin on September 4 for the second service only. For more information, please contact Camille Dillingham and Elizabeth Power.
United Women in Faith’s 200th Celebration – August
The United Women in Faith are celebrating the 200th year of Petrie Memorial by asking everyone to help in very special monthly donations that celebrate “200.” For August, the UWF will collect 200 “Back to School” items to be donated to the Todd County Schools. You may bring your donations and drop in the box in the Fellowship Hall.

Petrie is Turning 200 in 2022
Petrie Memorial United Methodist Church is turning 200 in 2022. This is an exciting time for Petrie! It is confirmed that Bishop Fairley will be in our worship service on November 13 to help us celebrate. Look for additional information in the days to come.
Flood Buckets/Cleaning Kits/Donations
Thank you to everyone who donated towards the clean-up efforts for Eastern Kentucky. To date, 45 buckets from Petrie have been collected and delivered and $2,526 has been donated. Donations continue to be received for those who wish to give. For financial contributions, please make a check payable to Petrie Memorial UMC and note Kentucky Disaster Response #200902 on the memo line.
Endowment Scholarship
/in NewsFor anyone attending a college, university, vocational or technical school for the 2022/2023 calendar year, you can apply for the Petrie Memorial UMC Endowment Scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who meet the requirements and submit a completed application prior to JUNE 1st. Please contact the church office for an application. Applications must be completed on an annual basis.
Recognition for Promotions/Graduations
/in NewsGraduate Recognition Sunday is scheduled for May 15 where we will recognize our students who will promote or graduate in 2022. If a name hasn’t been submitted to the church office yet, please let us know no later than May 1.
Summer Camp
/in NewsIf any children or youth are interested in going to summer camp this year, please contact Demetria for information on specific camps and camp dates. Petrie will pay up to 50% of camp fees, but we need to know by May 1 to pay out the scholarship.
