Hello friends…
I am delighted you have taken a moment to stop by to get better acquainted. So, allow me to tell you a little bit about the Knipp family and me.
I am a Kentucky native, born in Ashland, a graduate of Elliott County High School, Asbury College, and Lexington Theological Seminary. I have been in vocational ministry since 1991 and have served as a pastor since 1993. I have been privileged to serve local churches throughout Kentucky including the communities of Mayslick, Tollesboro, Lexington, Brandenburg, Henderson, Shelbyville, and – before coming to Elkton – Pikeville.
When not engaged in ministry, you will find me following my favorite sports teams, listening to a variety of music, classic television shows, and movies. I am also very passionate about learning.
My wife Julie hails from Maysville. She’s a Registered Nurse who has chosen to be a stay-at-home mom but has served in ministry settings in her own right. She was the Director of Mercy Medical Clinic in Shelbyville (a free clinic) and Director of the Nathaniel United Methodist Mission’s Medical Clinic in Lexington. Julie enjoys crafting and is a wonderful cook/baker.
Julie and I have three adult children: Gregory, Jordan (who is married to our favorite son-in-law Matthew), and Lydia.
Uniting for worship, education, fellowship, going out in missions across the street and around the world making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
